The International President and General Vice President toured the facility where more than 80 IAM members are responsible for the maintenance and machining of brewery equipment. The tour was led by IAM Local 41 Chief Shop Steward Chris Steinkuhler and Committee member Cliff Rushton.
“I am so proud of our membership in IAM Local 41 and District 9 and it was a privilege to see first-hand what they do every day,” said Martinez. “IAM members are the reason that companies like Anheuser-Busch have been successful for so long. The skill and dedication of our membership continues to amaze me and prove once again that our union is the backbone of the North American economy.”
“Thank you to the members and leadership of IAM Local 41 and District 9 for your hospitality,” said Galloway, a former brewer himself, who first initiated into the IAM at the Stroh Brewery Company in St. Paul, MN. “Since its founding more than 165 years ago, Anheuser-Busch has maintained a tradition of brewing some of the finest beers – and that’s thanks to the members of IAM Local 41. It was a pleasure and honor touring the historic facility.”
